We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR / § 38 BDSG.
What this website does not do
This is a static website. To keep data collection to a minimum, it deliberately avoids the most common sources of tracking:
- No cookies. The site sets no cookies of any kind, so no cookie banner is required.
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no heatmap and no visitor tracking.
- No third-party fonts or scripts. Typefaces are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts or any CDN, so no data is sent to third-party font providers.
- No social media plugins and no embedded third-party content.
- No advertising and no profiling.
Server log files
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, the hosting provider automatically records technical data that your browser transmits when you request a page. This typically includes the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, the browser type and version, and the operating system.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably, and in detecting and preventing abuse.
This data is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify you personally. Our hosting provider processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
The wholesale enquiry form
Please read this carefully, as it works differently from most contact forms.
The enquiry form on this site does not transmit your data to us over the internet. When you press "Send enquiry", the details you entered are assembled into a draft message and handed to the email program on your own device. Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email client, and no copy is stored on this website or on any server we control.
Once you do send the message, we receive it by email at info@safaacosmetics.de and process the details it contains — typically your company, name, email address, telephone number, country and the content of your enquiry — in order to answer you.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for general business enquiries, based on our legitimate interest in responding to trade contacts.
Retention: We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and to comply with statutory retention periods under German commercial and tax law — generally six or ten years for business correspondence and accounting records under §§ 257 HGB and 147 AO. We delete it when those periods expire.
Contacting us by email or telephone
If you contact us directly by email or telephone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal bases and retention periods are the same as for the enquiry form above.
Recipients of your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Your data may be accessible to:
- our hosting provider, for the technical operation of this website;
- our email provider, for the delivery and storage of correspondence;
- our tax adviser and the tax authorities, where retention obligations apply;
- freight forwarders and customs authorities, but only where this is necessary to carry out a shipment you have ordered.
Transfers outside the EU
Our hosting provider operates a global network, which means data may be processed on servers outside the European Union. Such transfers are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR. Where we ship goods to non-EU markets, the data needed for customs and delivery is transferred to the authorities and carriers in the destination country, as required to perform the contract under Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased, where no retention obligation applies (Art. 17);
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future, where processing is based on consent (Art. 7 (3)).

Is providing data mandatory?
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide personal data. However, without the details marked as required in the enquiry form, we will not be able to answer your enquiry.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The version published here is the one that applies.
